Maybe the most beautiful gardens are the ones that have been given permission to grow a little wilder.
A Little Wilder is an invitation to loosen your grip on perfect and make room for the unexpected. Powdery blues, soft sage and layered garden greens mingle with warm ochre, golden mustard, creamy white and earthy blush. Oversized blooms stretch across the canvas while smaller flowers, wandering stems and spontaneous marks fill the spaces between.
There is a sense of discovery throughout the painting, like wandering through an overgrown garden where something new catches your eye with every few steps.
Part of my Field Notes: In Full Bloom release, this original expressive floral painting reflects the freedom I've been finding in the studio lately. The flowers aren't carefully arranged or perfectly contained. They overlap, disappear beneath one another and reach in unexpected directions. Each layer is allowed to remain part of the story.
And perhaps that's what I love most about it.
A Little Wilder celebrates beauty that hasn't been overly tended. The kind that feels collected, romantic, abundant and completely alive.
