There’s something profoundly honest about simplicity.
In this series, I return to a very simple mark of a single flower. Created with oil pigment stick, each bloom feels spontaneous, imperfect, and wonderfully human.
These simple flowers are a nod to childhood drawings that are joyful, unguarded, and free from the need to impress. The thick, tactile strokes of oil pigment give them a sense of immediacy, as though they bloomed right from the heart onto the canvas.
Each piece celebrates the beauty of the uncomplicated, a quiet reminder that even the simplest things can carry deep emotion and radiant joy.
